Though the system offers a FEW new riffs on this tried-and-true theme, users Will Appreciate the bottom clean and sleek T420 on the sides, as well as STI wide, textured touchpad and dedicated volume buttons and microphone Above the keyboard sit That.

Laptop Lenovo ThinkPad T420s Review
Clumsy love the cover ABS plastic and carbon fiber reinforced building on the T420. An internal cage protects the internal components in case of fall. The keyboard has a drainage system that directs spilled liquid through two drainage holes in the bottom.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The Lenovo ThinkPad T420 uses the same classic keyboard we've come to know and love others on many ThinkPad. With a full set of keys the legacy - including the break old and scroll lock keys - and expanded Escape and Delete keys, the keyboard offers a T420 typing experience with superior tactile feedback and strong smile shaped keys that make it easy to avoid mistypes.
The T420 of long palm rest provides more than enough space to support adult size wrists. The combination of these factors led us to a score of 86 words per minute test on the Ten Thumbs Typing, slightly above our 80 words per minute on average.
We've long been fans of Lenovo TrackPoint pointing stick and the red knot on the ThinkPad T420 continues this proud tradition by offering extremely precise navigation. The 3.2 x 2 inches touch texture was also very accurate, but the multitouch gestures like pinch-to-zoom is not smooth. The two mouse buttons offer quiet just the right amount of feedback. heat
Thank you in part to its dual exhaust ports, the ThinkPad T420 remained cool for our use. After steaming a video in full screen for 15 minutes, we measured the touchpad to a chilly 84 degrees, the keyboard just 90 degrees, and down to only 91 degrees. We consider temperatures below 95 degrees at ease. Display and audio
The 1600 900 x, 14.1-inch matte display on the T420 provides clear images and many more desktop real estate than the 1366 x 768 panels that we see on most other notebooks of this size. The difference between 768 and 900 pixels of vertical space is an important advantage because it can show you a few lines of additional text about your favorite Web pages, emails and documents without requiring you to scroll.
A 250 nits and a contrast ratio of 300:1, the display of the ThinkPad T420 is not especially bright or colorful, but its surface glare allows reasonable viewing angles. We were able to get a decent life, although slightly whitewashed view on the desktop to 90 degrees left or right, but the video is completely washed angle greater than 45 degrees.
Although the speakers of the ThinkPad T420 are accurate enough for lectures and films on the bill, it sounded a bit thin when playing music. The Dolby Home Theater software provided v4 does not help much. Disabling this enhancement technology leads to high volume, but sound even harder.
Ports and Webcam
The ThinkPad T420 is a Kensington lock slot and Wi-Fi on / off switch on the right side. On the back is an Ethernet port, VGA, Display Port out, and two USB ports. The first is a yellow port for charging USB gadgets when the laptop sleeps and a blue light for the connection of super-speed USB 3.0. A memory card reader, headphone jack, and a third line of USB port on the left.
720p webcam captured images clear and sharp, even in low light. When we were talking on Skype in a room with fluorescent lighting general, our interviewee said that the fine details of our faces were visible, but a little too bright. When shooting pics in our cabin office of shadow, your face was a little darker but still strong, even if we got the best color quality when we sat in front of a window on a sunny day.
Lenovo ThinkPad T420 Webcam ViewLenovo micro dual range provides excellent sound capture for the conference on the T420. We particularly like the keyboard denoising filter. When the filter is on, our interviewee said she could barely detect the sound of our strikes we typed.
